Honest answer

Job-market reality check

Harder, so be realistic

  • Marketing, HR and general management graduates find visa-sponsored roles in Ireland harder to get than tech, data or pharma graduates. These roles are rarely on the Critical Skills Occupations List.
  • Without a Critical Skills role, most jobs need a General Employment Permit at a salary of at least €36,605, and EU graduates, who need no permit, compete for the same entry-level jobs.
  • Pick this route if you have relevant work experience or a clear plan to return to India with an international degree. If staying in Ireland is the goal, compare a data, supply chain or finance master’s first.

Housing is the biggest: Dublin had fewer than 1,150 homes available to rent in August 2026, and rents keep rising. The graduate job market is competitive outside shortage fields such as tech and pharma, the weather is grey and wet, and in 2025 the Indian Embassy issued a safety advisory after attacks on Indians.
