Ireland Student Visa Refusal Reasons, and How to Appeal (2027)

Updated on Written by Amit SouravReviewed by Ashmita Agarwal

Applications for January 2027 are open. Popular courses can close once full, so apply early. Your AdmitVerse counsellor will confirm the current timeline for your course.

Why do Ireland student visas get refused?

Most refusals come down to money or credibility: unexplained deposits, a funds history shorter than six months, an unexplained study gap, a course that does not fit your background, inconsistent documents, or an undeclared previous refusal. You can appeal within the time limit stated in your refusal letter, answering each reason with new evidence.
